A Muslim youth in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, disguised in traditional Hindu attire, was apprehended by Bajrang Dal members at a hotel. The youth, identified as Zafar Khan, had come with his Hindu girlfriend to visit the Mahakal temple from Mohali, Punjab.
The incident came to light when the couple’s religious identity was questioned by the group. The youth, who claimed to be in a relationship with Renu, admitted to concealing his Muslim identity by wearing dhoti-kurta and applying a tilak on his forehead.
The Bajrang Dal activists, suspecting the youth’s religious background, confronted him for hiding his true identity. The couple, after being caught, was taken into custody by the Nanakheda police in Ujjain for further investigation.
