The mystery surrounding Twisha Sharma’s death intensifies as her lawyer discloses a list of mobile numbers contacted by retired Bhopal judge Giribala Singh post her daughter-in-law’s demise. The list reportedly includes influential individuals like IAS and IPS officers, doctors, judges, and CCTV operators who were in touch with Giribala Singh between May 12 and May 14 following the incident. Allegations suggest that instead of seeking justice for the deceased, these influential figures maintained contact with the accused after Sharma’s suspicious death at her matrimonial residence.
The legal team representing Twisha Sharma asserts that various individuals from the judiciary, police force, medical professionals, and others were allegedly communicating with the accused, raising concerns about the investigation’s impartiality. The lawyer further claims that the Station House Officer of Katara Hills police station was among those allegedly in contact with the accused post the incident. The released list of contacts reportedly includes names like Samarth Singh, Dr. Rajbala Singh Bhadauria, Manu Shrivastava (IAS, Bhopal), Justice Satyendra Kumar Singh of the Lokayukta, Rohit Vishwakarma, and Vinod Wani, associated with CCTV operations.
Twisha Sharma’s legal representative alleges that while the accused received support from various quarters, Sharma’s family faced challenges in seeking justice before investigative bodies and courts. The statement also mentions that Twisha Sharma’s family awaited a second post-mortem examination at AIIMS Bhopal. Giribala Singh, a defendant in the dowry death case, secured interim bail on May 15 by providing a bond of Rs 50,000. Meanwhile, Giribala Singh has contested the authenticity of an audio clip and WhatsApp conversations circulating in the media, requesting a court-monitored inquiry into their origin.
