In response to a notable decrease in its vote share in the recent Tamil Nadu Assembly election, Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) has initiated a significant overhaul of its Information Technology (IT) Wing. The restructuring aims to revitalize the party’s organizational network and boost its presence on the ground and digital platforms.
The revamp follows a drop in the party’s vote share from 8.1% in the previous election to approximately 4% in the latest polls. NTK is now enrolling volunteers into its IT Wing on a district-wise and constituency-wise basis across Tamil Nadu to strengthen its digital outreach efforts.
The revamped IT Wing will operate as a statewide network responsible for documenting and publicizing NTK’s grassroots activities. Volunteers will collect and share information on various party initiatives, such as protests, blood donation drives, educational assistance programs, and welfare activities, through designated WhatsApp groups.
Dedicated coordinators have been appointed to oversee the restructuring, and the party has provided WhatsApp contact numbers for interested members to join its digital outreach endeavors. The material gathered from different districts will be compiled and shared through NTK’s official social media channels to enhance the party’s visibility.
