Rio also emphasized the role of culture and language in maintaining identity, advocating for the promotion of Tenyidie in educational curricula. He commended organizations like Ura Academy for their efforts in advancing the language and encouraged youth to uphold cultural values while developing essential skills for the future. The Chief Minister called for collective efforts and reconciliation to achieve a dignified resolution to the Naga political issue, emphasizing the common heritage and history that bind the Naga people together.
Deputy Chief Minister T.R. Zeliang echoed Rio’s sentiments, underlining the closely-knit nature of the Tenyimi community based on shared ancestry and traditions. He stressed the importance of documenting and preserving their heritage through collective endeavors. The Tenyimi Union Nagaland organized a cultural festival that showcased traditional music, dance, and practices, promoting unity through cultural heritage.
