Concerned about the rise in sexual assaults, especially against minor girls, Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav instructed Director General of Police Rupin Sharma to review the law and order situation. The Governor emphasized the need for swift and exemplary action against perpetrators to ensure the safety of women and children in the state.

During a meeting at Lok Bhavan, Governor Yadav discussed with DGP Sharma the increasing cases of assault on women and minors. He urged the police to intensify efforts to combat such crimes, enhance monitoring, and provide timely support and justice to victims. The Governor stressed the importance of public awareness and community involvement in preventing these offenses.

Governor Yadav highlighted the importance of creating a secure environment for all citizens and emphasized the need for strong preventive measures. The DGP briefed the Governor on ongoing investigations and initiatives to enhance the security of women and children in Nagaland.
