Four days following a fatal Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion in Nagaland that resulted in the death of an Assam Rifles Havildar and left four others critically injured, the state Police has announced a cash reward of Rs 50,000. The reward is for credible information leading to the identification and arrest of those responsible for the attack.
Commissioner of Police Aotula T. Imchen stated in a public notice that an intensive investigation is ongoing to identify and apprehend individuals involved in the July 13 blast in Chumoukedima district. The police are seeking to bring to justice all those connected with what they termed a “heinous terrorist act.”
The reward will be granted for information that helps identify or arrest the perpetrators or their associates, as well as for details on planning, financing, or aiding the offense. The public is encouraged to share any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, through provided WhatsApp numbers. Informants’ identities will be kept confidential, and the reward will be given upon verification of the information’s contribution to the case’s resolution.
The Dimapur Police Commissionerate has urged citizens to stay vigilant and collaborate with law enforcement agencies. They assured that any information received will be promptly and discreetly acted upon.
