The National Association of Software and Service Companies (Nasscom) stated that technology companies in India are implementing energy-saving measures and promoting remote or hybrid work setups in response to the ongoing tensions in the Middle East. Nasscom highlighted that these companies are focusing on optimizing energy consumption, streamlining facility services, and facilitating remote or hybrid work arrangements to reduce overall energy usage and commuting. These initiatives are part of the technology sector’s broader strategy for operational resilience and sustainability.

Nasscom emphasized that the Indian tech industry has well-established business continuity plans and distributed delivery models, allowing seamless operations with flexibility and uninterrupted service delivery to clients. The industry body assured that it is actively monitoring the geopolitical situation and maintaining communication with stakeholders and government authorities to ensure a coordinated and responsible approach amidst the evolving circumstances.
