The National Convention ‘Nari to Narayani’ is a two-day event celebrating International Women’s Day, focusing on empowering women. Held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi, the convention serves as a platform for various government initiatives like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and Mission Shakti. Kalari professional S. Mahesh, a panelist at the event, emphasized the importance of empowering women through martial arts skills, aiming to revive the spirit of warriorship in society.

Mahesh highlighted the Bharati Shakti movement, which has already trained 15,000 girls in Kalari martial arts, promoting empowerment through these skills. The convention aims to bring together women thought leaders to discuss and develop strategies for self-reliance and holistic development. It aligns with the vision of achieving a developed India by 2047, with women playing a key role in national progress.
