The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) parliamentary party will convene a meeting on Tuesday at Parliament under the new name ‘Mangal Milan’ to enhance coordination during the Monsoon Session. The meeting is set to commence at 9:30 am at the GMC Balayogi Auditorium in the Parliament Library Building, with members from all NDA constituents in attendance.
Traditionally, the NDA parliamentary party holds weekly meetings during Parliament sessions, but this time, the gathering is termed ‘Mangal Milan’ to give it a fresh cultural and organizational identity. The meeting holds significance as Parliament has faced disruptions at the start of the Monsoon Session, with the Opposition pushing for discussions on various contentious issues.
The Monsoon Session began with disruptions in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha as the Opposition demanded debates on topics like the NEET controversy, Ram Temple donation scam, CJP protest at Jantar Mantar, and concerns over the E20 petrol rollout. Despite calls for decorum, chaos and sloganeering persisted in the House, leading to adjournment.
