Internet giant Naver has inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to explore business prospects in India. The agreement, signed during a South Korea-India business forum in New Delhi, aims to combine Naver and TCS’s strengths in artificial intelligence (AI), cloud, and business-to-consumer (B2C) services for AI and digital transformation ventures in India. Leveraging TCS’s ecosystem services and data assets, Naver anticipates this partnership to open up new revenue streams in the Indian market.
Naver’s CEO, Choi Soo-yeon, expressed optimism about the collaboration, highlighting India’s active efforts to bolster its AI ecosystem. The partnership with TCS is expected to bring forth fresh business opportunities by merging expertise in AI, cloud, and B2C services. This move aligns with India’s ambition to emerge as a prominent AI hub.
In a separate development, Hyundai Motor has announced a collaboration with TVS Motor Company Ltd. to jointly develop an electric three-wheeler tailored for the Indian market. Hyundai will spearhead the design and joint development of the electric vehicle, leveraging its research and development capabilities and human-centric design philosophy. TVS Motor, on the other hand, will contribute its electric vehicle platform and three-wheeler engineering expertise, along with local market insights.
The partnership between Hyundai Motor and TVS Motor signifies a strategic step towards offering customized mobility solutions to Indian consumers. This collaboration, initiated with the signing of a joint development agreement in New Delhi, underscores the commitment to advancing sustainable and innovative transportation solutions for the Indian market.
