More than 160 National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets from Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan have started a 12-day Cyber Defender Course at Rashtriya Raksha University in Gandhinagar. The training aims to enhance cyber awareness and digital defense skills among young individuals. The course, organized by NCC Gujarat Directorate in partnership with NIELIT, involves 60 hours of intensive training conducted by NIELIT faculty members and trainers.
The Cyber Defender Course, led by Major General Bimal Monga, focuses on providing cadets with practical knowledge to detect and respond to cyber threats. It covers various aspects such as cybersecurity fundamentals, ethical hacking, cyber laws, mobile security, and cyber fraud prevention. The program is designed to create cyber-aware citizens who can identify digital risks and promote safe online practices.
The training also includes sessions on ethical cyber conduct and safeguarding national digital assets. Minister of State for Primary, Secondary, and Adult Education, Rivaba Jadeja, inaugurated the course at Rashtriya Raksha University. The university has provided the necessary infrastructure and support for the program, emphasizing security education and capacity building. Lieutenant Ruchika Singla, CTO Yash Sharma, and other school members are assisting in the organization and execution of the training.
