Dismissing rumors of a major political shift in Maharashtra, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MP Supriya Sule clarified that her party has no plans to join the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The speculation arose following meetings between NCP chief Sharad Pawar and state leaders, sparking talks of potential alliances.
Sule addressed the media, asserting that there have been no discussions about aligning with the BJP. She emphasized that reports suggesting otherwise are limited to media speculation. Refuting claims of internal dissent within the party, Sule highlighted the unity among NCP lawmakers and denied any dissatisfaction.
Regarding a possible reunion of NCP factions, Sule stated that discussions have ended, and both groups are moving forward independently. She closed the door on any merger talks, putting an end to further political conjecture. Sule also downplayed the significance of recent meetings between NCP members and BJP leaders, citing routine interactions for committee work.
Emphasizing the party’s focus on public service, Sule hinted at a challenging political landscape ahead. She acknowledged the ongoing speculation about NCP’s future and hinted at a tough battle for power in the upcoming political scenario.
