The NEET paper leak scandal in Rajasthan is unraveling like a suspenseful thriller, revealing a suspected education mafia deeply entrenched in the medical admission system. The investigation has now reached Pandit Nawal Kishore Sharma Government Medical College in Dausa, focusing on a missing first-year MBBS student, Pragati Biwal, daughter of a key accused in the case. Pragati disappeared from campus following the arrests of her father and uncle, sparking concerns and speculation.
Sources indicate that Pragati abruptly left the college after her father and uncle, prominent figures in the paper leak scandal, were apprehended. Her absence from classes for two days has raised questions, especially considering the significant number of medical admissions within her family. The CBI is looking into the academic backgrounds of multiple Biwal family members to ascertain if the alleged paper leak network facilitated their admissions to prestigious medical colleges.
Investigators are scrutinizing the academic records of several Biwal family members, including Pragati studying in Dausa, her brother at Sawai Madhopur Medical College, and cousins in various medical institutions. The concentration of medical admissions within one family has drawn attention, prompting suspicions of potential irregularities. The CBI has expanded its searches to the family’s properties in Jaipur, intensifying efforts to uncover the extent of the scandal.
The probe has extended beyond Rajasthan, with arrests made in Maharashtra, indicating a broader network involved in the NEET paper leak case. Seven individuals have been arrested so far, with key figures like Dinesh Biwal, Mangilal Biwal, and Vikas in CBI custody. The agency is also seeking Dinesh Biwal’s son, Rishi, who is reportedly evading authorities. As the investigation progresses, authorities fear the scandal may be more extensive than initially perceived, possibly implicating a well-organized network manipulating India’s competitive entrance examinations.
