The Nepali government has established an Emergency Response Team to address the safety concerns of over 1.7 million Nepali nationals residing in 12 West Asian countries amidst the escalating US-Iran conflict. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the high priority of ensuring the safety of these individuals.
Under the coordination of the Foreign Secretary, the Emergency Response Team, comprising joint-secretary-level representatives from various government agencies, aims to ensure coordinated and effective actions to safeguard Nepali nationals in the region.
