After Janshakti Janata Dal (JJD) National President Tej Pratap Yadav vacated the government bungalow at 26 M Stand Road, the new minister inspected the premises and raised concerns about its state. Bihar government minister Lakhendra Paswan, the new occupant of the bungalow, criticized its lack of basic amenities, citing issues like a damaged roof, missing electrical fittings, and broken gate latches.
Paswan emphasized that the bungalow, previously occupied by Tej Pratap Yadav, was in an unacceptable condition for habitation. He highlighted the absence of essential facilities such as light bulbs, fans, and air conditioners, stating that the residence had been stripped of necessary infrastructure. The Building Construction Department of the Bihar government has now allocated official residences to all ministers, including Paswan.
Under government regulations, Paswan stressed that every MLA and minister is entitled to a livable official residence with fundamental amenities. He informed officials about the poor state of the bungalow and expressed his inability to reside there in its current condition. Following the inspection, it was confirmed that Tej Pratap Yadav had vacated the premises, and plans are underway to assess and repair the bungalow before Paswan moves in.
