Ashutosh Tiwari, the newly nominated BJP candidate for the Datia Assembly by-election in Madhya Pradesh, expressed gratitude towards the party’s central and state leadership for entrusting him with this responsibility. Tiwari emphasized his commitment to justifying the confidence placed in him by the party, highlighting the BJP’s consistent support for dedicated workers.
He affirmed that the upcoming bypoll would revolve around the BJP government’s development initiatives led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. Tiwari pledged to engage with voters, showcasing the party’s accomplishments and seeking their support in the election.
Tiwari’s nomination came as a surprise to many, as it diverged from expectations that former Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra would be chosen as the BJP candidate. The by-election for the Datia Assembly seat was necessitated by the disqualification of Rajendra Bharti due to a criminal conviction.
The Delhi High Court’s decision not to stay Bharti’s conviction cleared the way for the bypoll, prompting the BJP to announce Tiwari’s candidacy. Tiwari, who previously held positions within the BJP’s organizational structure, expressed confidence in the collective leadership approach of the party, emphasizing unity among senior leaders and workers for securing victory.
