A new bi-weekly express train service is set to launch between Ramnagar and Dehradun, enhancing connectivity and opportunities for travelers, pilgrims, and traders. Ramnagar, the gateway to Jim Corbett National Park, and Dehradun, the state capital known for commercial activities, will now be linked through this service. The train, numbered 15310/15309, will start operating from July 18, fulfilling a longstanding demand and efforts by Garhwal MP Anil Baluni.
The express train will run on Wednesdays and Fridays, departing from Ramnagar at 5:50 a.m. and reaching Dehradun at 12:40 p.m. The return journey will commence from Dehradun at 3:55 p.m. on the same day, arriving back in Ramnagar at 11:30 p.m. The train will make stops at various stations including Kashipur, Roshanpur, Pipalsana, Moradabad, Najibabad, and Haridwar, benefiting passengers from several cities.
This new service is expected to boost tourism, pilgrimage, education, and trade in the region. It will facilitate convenient travel for passengers with diverse purposes, such as official visits in Dehradun, pilgrimage in Haridwar, or wildlife exploration in Jim Corbett National Park. Additionally, it will provide improved rail connectivity for those embarking on the Char Dham Yatra from Haridwar and Dehradun.
Equipped with various coach classes, including AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class, and General Second Class, the bi-weekly express train aims to cater to a wide range of passengers’ needs.
