New Series ‘Maa Ka Sum’ Explores Unique Mother-Son Relationship

A new streaming series, ‘Maa Ka Sum,’ delves into the special bond shared between a single mother and her 19-year-old son named Agastya. Agastya, a young math prodigy, approaches life with logic and aims to find the ideal partner for his mother Vinita.

The narrative of ‘Maa Ka Sum’ revolves around the themes of friendship, trust, and mutual support that define the relationship between Agastya and his mother. The series, set to premiere on April 3, 2026, stars Mona Singh, Mihir Ahuja, Angira Dhar, and Ranveer Brar, portraying the emotional depth and freshness of this mother-son connection.

Director Nikhil Madhok expressed that the series captures the essence of universal emotions and bonds found in relationships. The story, directed by Nicholas Kharkongor and produced by Babita Ashiwal under Eunoia Films, promises to offer a heartfelt and relatable portrayal of love, growth, and understanding within a family dynamic.

Babita Ashiwal, the producer, highlighted the warmth and humor in ‘Maa Ka Sum,’ emphasizing its relatability and entertainment value for audiences of all ages. The eight-episode series will be available on Prime Video in Hindi with subtitles in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, catering to a diverse viewership.
