The third installment of the popular “Tanu Weds Manu” franchise, titled “Tanu Weds Manu – The Next Chapter,” is set to start filming in 2026. This announcement came alongside Eros Innovation’s unveiling of a significant content lineup. Mitakshara Kumar will direct the film, known for works like “Heeramandi” and “The Empire,” with co-production by Rudrak Soma Jyoti Limited.
Eros Innovation’s content slate includes three main initiatives. The first is Eros Brahmand, a mythology-inspired cinematic universe featuring nine original titles based on Indian mythology and folklore. The second initiative, Eros Universe, will expand six popular film titles, including “Tanu Weds Manu – The Next Chapter,” into various storytelling formats like films, animation, and microdramas. Lastly, Eros Remastered will kick off with the restoration of “Kochadaiyan,” India’s first motion-capture feature film starring Rajinikanth.
