Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Anil Baluni announced the approval of a new train service between Ramnagar and Dehradun, highlighting its significance for railway connectivity in Uttarakhand. The Union Railway Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw, confirmed the approval in response to Baluni’s request, as shared on social media platform X. Baluni expressed gratitude for the support in enhancing connectivity and facilities for Uttarakhand residents.

The MP praised the expansion of railway services in the hill state, attributing the achievement to the consistent backing of the Railway Minister. He acknowledged the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in prioritizing regional connectivity, noting the introduction of key rail services like the ‘Naini Doon Express’ and the Vande Bharat Express. The new Ramnagar–Dehradun train service is expected to offer a more direct and convenient travel option between Kumaon and Garhwal regions, reducing travel time and providing a cost-effective alternative to road transport.

Baluni emphasized the benefits of the new service for residents and travelers, facilitating easier access to the state capital for various activities. He reiterated the government’s commitment to bolstering infrastructure in Uttarakhand, with a focus on enhancing railway connectivity for socio-economic development.
