Newly appointed West Bengal Minister Dilip Ghosh claimed that many Trinamool Congress leaders are corrupt. He made these remarks following the arrest of former state minister Sujit Bose by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with a municipal recruitment corruption case.
Ghosh, speaking to the media at Eco Park in Kolkata, highlighted alleged corruption cases involving Trinamool leaders in activities like sand mining, cow smuggling, and black money. He mentioned that all cases against corrupt leaders from the previous government would be reopened for thorough investigation.
Asserting that most Trinamool leaders are corrupt, Ghosh emphasized that investigations into these cases would now progress. He assured that all matters would be thoroughly looked into based on public demand and that actions would be taken accordingly.
Ghosh, who took office as Minister on Tuesday, also addressed issues such as sand mining complaints. He urged people to report any incidents through their MLAs or email, promising swift action upon notification. Ghosh had earlier expressed the challenges faced by the BJP government in restructuring governance and restoring public trust post the 2026 Assembly elections.
