Newly recruited candidates from various parts of India, including Delhi, Punjab, West Bengal, and Odisha, were elated and thankful on Saturday as they received appointment letters during the 19th Rozgar Mela. Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually distributed over 51,000 appointment letters nationwide, marking a significant step in the government’s employment generation initiative.
The Rozgar Mela took place at 47 locations across the country, offering government job opportunities to young individuals in different ministries and departments. Candidates in Delhi shared their excitement, with one expressing gratitude for the opportunity and another acknowledging the sacrifices made by their families for this achievement.
In Punjab, the event at Patiala Locomotive Works saw 188 candidates receiving appointment letters from various government departments. Principal Chief Administrative Officer Sushil Kumar Srivastava distributed the letters, emphasizing the importance of dedication and integrity in contributing to the nation’s progress.
Candidates highlighted the transparent and fair recruitment process, noting that merit played a crucial role in their selection without any external influence. Expressing their gratitude, candidates like Palak from Uttar Pradesh and Ritika Dutta from West Bengal thanked the government and Prime Minister Modi for the job opportunities based on merit.
In Kolkata, the Rozgar Mela witnessed the distribution of appointment letters to 188 candidates at Dr B.C. Roy Auditorium in Sealdah. The presence of senior railway officials and political leaders added to the event’s significance, with appointees like Kaushik Singh and Tamalpal expressing their pride and gratitude for the opportunity to serve Indian Railways.
Similar events were held in Siliguri, Kharagpur, and Bhubaneswar, where selected candidates received appointment letters and expressed their happiness and honor. Union Minister Jual Oram commended the candidates in Bhubaneswar, emphasizing the rapid progress under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.
