The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a charge sheet in a Special Court in Hyderabad against Gade Innaiah, a key CPI (Maoist) operative, for provoking a crowd at the funeral of a deceased member of a banned terrorist group last year. Gade Innaiah, also known as Gade Inna Reddy, faces charges under relevant sections of BNS, 2023, and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, as per the NIA statement.
The charge sheet, based on evidence collected during the investigation into case RC 04/2025/NIA/HYD, alleges that Gade made incriminating statements at the funeral meeting of a deceased Central Committee Member of CPI (Maoist), Katha Ramachandra Reddy, in October 2025. He reportedly encouraged around 200 attendees to actively support the CPI (Maoist) ideology and criticized former CPI (Maoist) members who surrendered to government authorities.
The NIA’s probe revealed Gade’s close ties with senior CPI (Maoist) members and his frequent meetings with them in Chhattisgarh’s jungle areas. Additionally, Gade was identified as a co-founder of ‘Bharat Bachao,’ a front organization actively promoting the terror group’s ideology. In a separate case related to Andhra Pradesh, the NIA charged three CPI (Maoist) operatives for supplying explosive materials and logistical aid to the banned organization’s cadres in the state.
