Nikki mentioned to E! News that she felt embarrassed by the attention her revelation received. She worried that DiCaprio, 51, who is in a relationship with model Vittoria Ceretti, might think she was bragging. The disclosure was made on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ to have something humorous to discuss.
During her appearance on the show, Nikki explained a joke she made about DiCaprio at the Golden Globes. She shared that she and her team struggled to create a fresh joke, avoiding the common theme of his relationships. DiCaprio, in response to her joke, sent her three baskets of pasta as a gesture of thanks.
Nikki had earlier stated that she aimed to avoid cliché jokes about DiCaprio at the Golden Globes. She emphasized the challenge of finding new comedic material beyond his personal life. Nikki acknowledged DiCaprio’s legendary status and praised his performance in ‘One Battle After Another’.
