At least nine individuals, including a 15-year-old tailor, two laborers, and a university student, have gone missing after being detained by Pakistani forces in various parts of Balochistan province. Six recent cases were reported in Panjgur district, where individuals like Saadullah and three others were taken from their homes. Additionally, a university student named Zahid was detained from the university premises in Panjgur city.
One of the missing persons, Adil Baloch, a 21-year-old laborer, was reportedly detained by the Counter Terrorism Department personnel in the Sariab area. Another case involves Sher Zaman Baloch, a 15-year-old, who was taken from his tailoring workshop. Furthermore, 18-year-old Obaid Baloch remains missing after being taken into custody from Dalbandin in Chagai district.
In a separate incident, two individuals who had been missing since November last year were released in Karachi. The Human Rights Council of Balochistan documented 53 killings and 124 enforced disappearances in Balochistan, with targeted killings being the most common. The report highlighted the alarming situation of human rights abuses by Pakistani forces in the region.
