Nine workers from the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) were taken into custody by the police after staging a black-flag protest during a visit by BJP state President Madan Rathore to Kuchaman City in Rajasthan’s Nagaur district. The protest caused tension, leading to police intervention and the detainment of the workers.
RLP convenor and Nagaur MP Hanuman Beniwal emphasized the party’s commitment to opposing dictatorship, asserting the right to peaceful protest against government actions. Beniwal urged the Rajasthan Police to release the detained RLP workers promptly, highlighting the importance of democratic dissent.
Madan Rathore’s visit to Kuchaman for a training camp was met with protests by RLP supporters, who raised slogans and displayed black flags near the venue. Police and administrative officials intervened as the situation escalated, using mild force to disperse the crowd and restore order.
The political rift between the BJP and RLP intensified over the Bherana Dham issue, with both sides accusing each other of exploiting the matter for political gain. Beniwal had previously supported a protest against land acquisition at Bherana Dham, leading to a confrontation between RLP workers and Rathore during his visit.
