A tragic incident unfolded in Bambhaniya village of Mahuva taluka, Gujarat, where a nine-year-old boy named Nitya Gondaliya was fatally attacked by a wild animal while heading towards agricultural fields near Mobhiyana village. The attack, suspected to be by a leopard, occurred in the evening, leading to the child’s untimely demise.
Local authorities reported that the boy sustained severe injuries, including a torn left leg, multiple scratches, neck and elbow injuries, and extensive head wounds, with part of his scalp torn off. Despite efforts to locate him, the child was found with these injuries and was pronounced dead upon reaching medical care.
Following the incident, an investigation has been initiated by forest department officials to determine the animal responsible for the attack. The community is in mourning, with concerns heightened over the escalating encounters between humans and wildlife in the region.
