Bharatiya Janata Party leader Nitin Nabin is poised to take over as the new National President of the BJP on Tuesday. This marks a significant moment for the party’s organizational leadership. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alongside various senior party members, will be present at the swearing-in ceremony. The event is anticipated to include BJP Chief Ministers, national office bearers, state unit presidents, and members of the party’s national executive committee.
The BJP has officially announced Nitin Nabin as the sole candidate for the National President position. This decision follows the conclusion of the nomination and scrutiny process without any other contenders. Consequently, Nabin is set for an uncontested election as the party’s 12th national chief.
The National Returning Officer, K. Laxman, confirmed that only Nitin Nabin’s name remained in contention after the nomination process and withdrawal window closed. A total of 37 sets of nomination papers supporting Nabin were received between 2 and 4 p.m., all of which were deemed valid post-scrutiny. There were no withdrawals or additional candidates filing nominations.
