Chief Minister Nitish Kumar initiated the fifth phase of his ‘Samriddhi Yatra’ in Bihar, focusing on development and public engagement. In Jehanabad, he kickstarted 88 development projects worth Rs 70 crore and laid foundations for 73 projects valued at Rs 182 crore. Kumar, at a ‘Jan Samvad’ event, reiterated his government’s dedication to advancing the district’s progress.
During the ‘Samriddhi Yatra,’ Nitish Kumar visited training and production centers, praised the Rural Development Department’s efforts, interacted with beneficiaries, and distributed financial aid. He also criticized former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav during a public gathering, highlighting alleged lack of development work and poor law-and-order conditions in the previous regime.
The political discourse in Bihar has reignited as Nitish Kumar’s comments target the governance and development issues of the previous RJD administration. Earlier, in Arwal, he laid foundations for 22 schemes and inaugurated 250 completed projects, underscoring the government’s grassroots development focus. The fifth phase builds on the success of the earlier phases of the ‘Samriddhi Yatra.’
Several senior leaders, including Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and Ministers Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Ashok Chaudhary, and Pramod Kumar, were present at the events in Jehanabad and Arwal, along with MLCs Kumud Verma and Anil Kumar, and Ghosi MLA Rituraj Kumar.
