Former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar paid an unexpected visit to the Janata Dal (United) (JDU) party headquarters in Patna before the upcoming cabinet expansion in Bihar. His surprise visit to Karpoori Bhawan caught senior party leaders off guard as they learned about it only after he had left his official residence. Upon arrival, party workers and leaders warmly welcomed Nitish Kumar at the office.
During his visit, Nitish Kumar engaged with party workers and had informal discussions. Senior leader and former minister Ashok Choudhary was also present during the occasion. JDU MLC Sanjay Gandhi mentioned that such visits by Nitish Kumar are not uncommon. He highlighted that the former Chief Minister actively oversees the party office’s development and frequently visits to assess its operations.
Gandhi further explained that Nitish Kumar’s visits aim to connect with workers and review organizational strategies to strengthen the party. Meanwhile, preparations are underway for the grand cabinet expansion ceremony scheduled for May 7 at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. The event, expected to be attended by top national leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, has extensive administrative and security arrangements in place due to its high-profile nature.
