Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s Samriddhi Yatra, aimed at fostering prosperity in Bihar, advanced to Saran district. During the visit, he oversaw various development and welfare projects, engaged with the public, and initiated numerous infrastructure endeavors. The Chief Minister kickstarted 45 projects valued at Rs 451 crore and inaugurated 24 completed projects worth Rs 87 crore, totaling Rs 538 crore in investments.

Nitish Kumar, emphasizing the goal of building a prosperous Bihar, personally inspected development initiatives in Saran district and assessed the status of different schemes. He inaugurated the Jeevika Didi tailoring training-cum-production center in Chhapra, examined departmental stalls, and distributed welfare scheme benefits to recipients. Additionally, he scrutinized the facilities at the Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Chhapra Sadar, focusing on available resources and infrastructure.

During a review session with district officials, Nitish Kumar stressed the importance of timely project completion, quality maintenance, and transparency. He highlighted the necessity of ensuring that the advantages of welfare programs reach every individual in society. The Chief Minister also interacted with the public during a community engagement event.

Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, along with Water Resource and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Power Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Saran MP Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Maharajganj MP Janardan Singh Sigriwal, and other dignitaries, were present at the event. However, an incident of alleged misbehavior towards women emerged during the Chief Minister’s visit, with claims of misconduct by administrative officials towards a female MLA during entry procedures at the venue. This incident occurred amidst crowd management on the fifth day of Nitish Kumar’s Prosperity Journey, with further details and official responses awaited. Nitish Kumar commenced the Samriddhi Yatra on January 16.
