Former Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s son, Nishant Kumar, initiated a ‘Sadbhav Yatra’ in Valmikinagar, West Champaran district, receiving a warm welcome from party workers and locals. Nishant Kumar explored the Valmikinagar Tiger Reserve during the journey, emphasizing his father’s developmental work in the region and for the Tharu community.
After the safari, Nishant Kumar paid homage at the Valmiki Auditorium by garlanding Maharishi Valmiki’s statue. He then visited the Nar Devi Mata Temple to offer prayers and seek blessings. The journey continued with a grand event at the Convention Centre near the Indo-Nepal border in Bagaha.
In Chautarwa, Nishant Kumar was ceremonially weighed against laddoos under Bhishma Sahani’s leadership, followed by a unique welcome with a traditional turban and prayers by the minority community. The event, attended by leaders like Ashraf Ansari and Irshad Ali Azad, witnessed enthusiastic participation from party workers.
Women from the Tharu community in Laxmipur Rampurwa welcomed Nishant Kumar with the Jhumta-Jhumar dance, enhancing the festive spirit. Addressing the public, Nishant Kumar expressed his desire to serve Bihar, seeking an opportunity to contribute to the state’s progress as his father did for two decades. The ‘Sadbhav Yatra’ aims to establish Nishant Kumar’s political significance in Bihar.
