Nitish Kumar’s unopposed re-election as the National President of the Janata Dal-United has sparked reactions from Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leaders. RJD MP Misa Bharti praised Kumar’s return but criticized his stance on dynastic politics due to his son’s recent entry into politics. Tejashwi Yadav, Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, questioned Kumar’s authority within the JD-U, alleging that decisions are made by a select few individuals.
Bharti, daughter of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, extended wishes to Kumar, hinting at political implications. Tejashwi Yadav raised concerns about the power dynamics within the JD-U, claiming that decisions are controlled by a small group rather than Kumar himself. He further alleged that these individuals have ties with the BJP to weaken the JD-U from within.
Nitish Kumar’s unopposed re-election came after no other candidate filed nomination papers by the deadline, solidifying his position as the JD-U’s National President. This reaffirms his longstanding influence over the party’s organizational structure.
