Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has put in place various measures to ensure safe and comfortable travel for passengers during the upcoming Holi festival. With a focus on teamwork and passenger satisfaction, NFR is prepared to offer a smooth festive travel experience. Indian Railways will run 14 pairs of Holi Special trains over NFR, totaling 128 trips, to manage the expected increase in passenger traffic.
Major railway stations under NFR have been well-prepared with enhanced arrangements to handle the festive rush. Dedicated holding areas with facilities like real-time Passenger Information Systems, clean water, and proper seating have been set up for passenger convenience. Additional staff have been deployed for safety and crowd control, with measures in place to prevent overcrowding and ensure passenger movement is smooth.
Efforts include real-time CCTV surveillance, drone monitoring, and the use of technology like automatic ticket vending machines and Segway scooters for rapid response. Cleanliness drives are intensified in stations and trains to maintain high hygiene standards. Coordination among different departments is ensuring the effective execution of the preparedness plan to deliver a secure and pleasant travel experience during the Holi festival.
