A 27-year-old notorious burglar, Rajat alias Boodha, was apprehended by the police in South West Delhi. The police recovered stolen items, including mobile phones and a gas cylinder, from his possession. The arrest followed a burglary case registered at the Palam village police station on April 27.
A dedicated police team, under the close supervision of ACP/Sub-Division Delhi Cantt, worked tirelessly to track down the accused. Through a detailed investigation that involved activating secret informers, deploying technical surveillance, and analyzing CCTV footage, the police successfully located and arrested the suspect.
The police received specific information on May 2 about the accused’s presence in the Palam Village area. Acting promptly on this tip-off, the team set up a well-coordinated trap and apprehended the accused. Subsequent interrogation and investigation led to the recovery of stolen property, which included a gas cylinder, mobile phones, documents, a bank passbook, and other items.
The arrested individual, known for his habitual drinking habit, worked as a rickshaw rider. Allegedly, he committed burglaries to support his addiction and make easy money by targeting vulnerable houses. The accused has a history of involvement in theft and burglary cases, including one registered under Section 20 of the NDPS Act at PS Palam Village. Further investigation into the case is ongoing.
