The National Testing Agency (NTA) has initiated the refund process for candidates who took the cancelled NEET-UG 2026 exam on May 3. Students can claim a refund of the examination fee by submitting their bank details on the official website. The refund option is accessible through the NEET-UG 2026 registration portal, where candidates can log in using their application credentials to access the dedicated refund link.
To secure the refund, applicants must provide necessary banking information, such as the account holder’s name, bank name, account number, and IFSC code. Additionally, candidates can upload a scanned copy of a cancelled cheque to ensure the accuracy of the details submitted. The NTA has specified that once bank details are submitted, no corrections or modifications will be permitted, emphasizing the importance of verifying all information before submission.
The deadline for submitting bank details for the refund process is May 27, 2026, until 11:50 P.M. The refund process follows the cancellation of the NEET-UG 2026 exam due to alleged irregularities and a question paper leak. This development raised concerns nationwide and prompted various investigations, including one by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
After the cancellation, the NTA announced a re-examination for NEET-UG 2026 scheduled for June 21 from 2:00 P.M. to 5:15 P.M. (IST). Candidates are advised to stay updated on the official NTA website for information regarding the refund process and the re-examination schedule.
