The National Testing Agency (NTA) has assured all candidates affected by a technical issue during the Common University Entrance Test (CUET)-UG 2026 exam that they will be given another opportunity to complete the test. The NTA acknowledged the distress caused by the technical glitch and confirmed that candidates who underwent Biometric Registration and were present at their exam centers on May 30, 2026, but could not finish the exam due to the glitch, will have a chance to reappear.
TCS, the IT major responsible for conducting the exam, admitted that a brief technical problem led to a two-hour delay in the CUET-UG exam on Saturday morning. K. Krithivasan, CEO and MD of TCS, mentioned that the issue was swiftly identified and resolved by their technical teams, ensuring no impact on the exam’s integrity. TCS expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and affirmed their commitment to collaborating with NTA for seamless test administration.
The NTA had to adjust the exam timings for CUET-UG due to the glitch. While blaming its service provider, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), for the disruption, the NTA clarified that the issue has been fixed. Candidates in the morning session are being given compensatory time to complete the exam without any disadvantage. The NTA expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to students and parents and emphasized providing equal opportunities to all candidates through CUET.
