Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has instructed for low-key celebrations to mark the completion of two years of the Bharatiya Janata Party-led state government. The decision comes in light of the current situation arising from the conflict in West Asia. The celebrations will be simple and subdued, focusing on highlighting the government’s achievements over the past two years.
A preparatory meeting chaired by Chief Minister Majhi was held at Lok Seva Bhavan in Bhubaneswar to discuss the upcoming celebrations. Emphasis will be placed on showcasing the state government’s accomplishments through various media platforms instead of organizing large-scale events. The government’s achievements will be publicized through print, electronic, and social media, along with the distribution of booklets.
The state government’s second anniversary is scheduled to be celebrated on June 12, with various programs planned at both state and district levels from June 12 to 21. The celebrations will revolve around seven themes, including ‘Shakti Odisha’ and ‘Sustha Odisha’, highlighting the government’s goals and vision for the future. Ministers of each department will hold press conferences to highlight their achievements and publish leaflets detailing departmental successes.
Chief Minister Majhi emphasized the importance of effectively communicating the government’s vision for the state’s prosperity and the welfare of its people. The meeting, attended by Deputy Chief Ministers and other key officials, focused on ensuring that the government’s achievements are effectively showcased to the public.
