Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has instructed officials to focus on effective crowd management and information dissemination for the upcoming Bahuda Yatra in Puri. This event marks the return journey of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra, and other deities to the Shree Jagannath Temple on July 24. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of following guidelines issued by the police and district administration during the Yatra.
During a high-level meeting, officials updated the Chief Minister on the smooth conduct of all rituals associated with the annual Rath Yatra festival. Despite challenges like rainfall, adverse weather, and humidity, the dedication of officials, employees, volunteers, and devotees has remained unwavering. CM Majhi commended the servitors’ devotion and the coordinated efforts of government officials in managing the festival.
To ensure the successful completion of the remaining rituals like Suna Besha and Niladri Bije, CM Majhi stressed the need for meticulous crowd management and real-time information flow. He directed officials to monitor crowd density scientifically and integrate CCTV camera inputs for prompt intervention. The Chief Administrator of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration and top police officials briefed the meeting on security arrangements for the upcoming events.
