Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi praised Biju Patnaik, emphasizing his dedication to Odisha’s progress beyond politics. Speaking at an event commemorating the legendary leader’s 110th birth anniversary, the Chief Minister hailed Patnaik as a symbol of Odia pride and a perpetual inspiration for the state’s development. Majhi highlighted Patnaik’s vision for industrial growth, employment generation, women’s empowerment, and rural progress through the ‘Samruddha Odisha’ initiative.
Paying homage to Biju Patnaik, CM Majhi described him not just as an individual but as an institution and an ideology characterized by courage, foresight, and patriotism. He underscored the government’s commitment to realizing Patnaik’s dreams by strengthening the Panchayati Raj system and enhancing infrastructure for rural areas. Majhi also noted a substantial budget allocation of ₹34,166 crore for the Panchayati Raj Department in the upcoming financial year to support Odisha’s economic advancement.
In alignment with Biju Patnaik’s vision of industrial development, the state government is actively working on infrastructure projects to boost industrialization. Over the past 20 months, Odisha has attracted investments exceeding Rs 20 lakh crore, leading to significant job creation opportunities. The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s dedication to fulfilling Patnaik’s aspirations, aiming to transform Odisha into a prominent industrial center in eastern India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
CM Majhi concluded by urging unity in advancing Odisha’s prosperity and upholding the legacy of Biju Patnaik, emphasizing the collective responsibility of all to embrace his ideals for the state’s progress and the Odia community’s pride.
