The Odisha government’s State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) sanctioned 18 industrial projects with a total investment of Rs 3,877.14 crore. These projects, endorsed during the 146th SLSWCA meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg, are set to create 7,565 job opportunities across 11 districts in Odisha, including Balasore, Deogarh, Ganjam, and others. The state government highlighted that these projects align with Odisha’s strategy to foster a diverse industrial landscape encompassing various sectors like manufacturing, green industries, infrastructure, healthcare, and tourism, aiming at substantial employment generation.
Runaya Eckart Aluminium Powders Private Limited plans to establish a gas atomised spherical aluminium powder manufacturing unit in Jharsuguda district with an investment of Rs 300 crore, marking one of the significant projects approved. Moreover, companies like Scan Steels Limited, Jay Jagannath Steel and Power Limited, and SS Alufoils International Limited are looking to enhance their steel, iron, and ferro-alloy manufacturing capacities, reinforcing Odisha’s status as a primary metal manufacturing hub in India, while also creating substantial industrial employment opportunities. The SLSWCA also greenlighted various other projects spanning sectors such as explosives, electronics, pharmaceuticals, shipbuilding, and tourism, aiming to further diversify the industrial landscape of the state.
Official sources highlighted that in the past two years, the Odisha government has operationalized over 150 industrial projects, showcasing a strong commitment to converting investment proposals into tangible industrial activities. The state government, guided by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s vision, is progressing towards becoming a key industrial growth driver in Eastern India, contributing to the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 and realizing the objective of Samruddha Odisha 2036.
