The Odisha government has given the green light to 23 industrial investment proposals totaling Rs 4,111.80 crore, leading to the creation of 9,924 job opportunities. These projects were sanctioned during the 144th State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg. The approved ventures cover various sectors such as Mechanical and Electrical Capital Goods, Apparel and Textiles, Aerospace and Defence Manufacturing, and more, showcasing the state’s diverse industrial approach.
These projects will be executed in eleven districts, ensuring balanced industrial growth and increased job prospects across the regions. Notable proposals that received approval include Kalinga Metalics Limited’s iron ore beneficiation plant in Sundargarh, Rashmi Metallurgical Industry Private Limited’s iron ore beneficiation plant in Sundargarh, Water Tech India Private Limited’s plastic-based products manufacturing facility in Ganjam, and Nipha Limited’s railway component manufacturing unit in Khordha. The total investment and job creation from these 23 projects highlight Odisha’s attractiveness as an investment hub in Eastern India.
The state government emphasized the significance of these projects, stating that they signify Odisha’s emergence as a promising investment destination with a resilient and diverse industrial foundation. The approved ventures encompass a wide spectrum of industries, ranging from traditional manufacturing to advanced sectors like aerospace, defence, logistics, and premium tourism, positioning the state for sustainable economic growth.
