Governor Kambhampati conveyed his sadness and prayers for the safety of all on board and their families. Chief Minister Majhi also mourned the tragic incident, describing it as deeply heartbreaking.
Former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also expressed shock and offered heartfelt condolences over Pawar’s death. Patnaik extended his sympathies to Pawar’s family, friends, and supporters, expressing deep sorrow over the tragic accident.
The plane crash in Baramati claimed the lives of five individuals, including Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, as per flight reports. The passengers on the Learjet 45 aircraft included a personal security officer, an attendant, and two crew members. Pawar was en route from Mumbai to Baramati for a public meeting amidst ongoing Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samitis elections.
