Public Sector Oil Marketing Companies in Maharashtra, including Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd., and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd., have confirmed that the availability of essential petroleum products like petrol, diesel, and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) remains steady and uninterrupted. Fuel supply across the state, including terminals, depots, LPG bottling plants, and retail outlets, is stable and efficient. Stocks are regularly monitored, and replenishment activities are ongoing without disruptions, following safety protocols.

Adequate stocks of petroleum products are maintained throughout the supply chain to meet consumer demand effectively. LPG supplies to domestic consumers are also unaffected, with deliveries progressing smoothly. The public is urged by the PSU OMCs to refrain from panic buying and rely on official communications for accurate information on fuel availability.

Residents of newly constructed buildings in Maharashtra can now apply for Piped Natural Gas (PNG) connections collectively or individually. City Gas Distribution (CGD) companies are launching campaigns to promote new PNG connections, with over 94,000 new connections commissioned since April 1, 2026. The state government has intensified vigilance measures to ensure uninterrupted fuel supply, combat black marketing, and hoarding.

Strict actions are being taken against illegal activities related to petroleum products, including unauthorized use of domestic LPG, hoarding, and black marketing. The state government has conducted 9,494 raids, resulting in the seizure of 4,449 cylinders and the arrest of 52 individuals under the Essential Commodities Act, 1955.
