Acclaimed actor-filmmaker Olivia Wilde shared insights about her latest movie, “The Invite,” expressing a deep personal connection to its themes. “The Invite” is a drama that delves into the complexities of modern relationships, portraying their highs and lows. Wilde revealed that she felt as though she was in a relationship with the film itself, finding it to be a profound source of inspiration for her directorial journey.

Produced by A24 and featuring a star-studded cast including Olivia Wilde, Seth Rogen, Penélope Cruz, and Edward Norton, “The Invite” is scheduled to hit theaters on July 10th. The film aims to explore the nuances of intimacy, attraction, and contemporary relationships through a multi-layered narrative designed to provoke meaningful discussions. In India, “The Invite” will be presented by PVRINOX Pictures, with its theatrical release also set for July 10.

Olivia Wilde, known for her roles in various films and TV series, including “House” and “Tron: Legacy,” made her directorial debut with the critically acclaimed teen comedy “Booksmart” in 2019. She further ventured into directing with the thriller “Don’t Worry Darling.” Wilde’s diverse career also includes her recent appearance in the erotic comedy thriller “I Want Your Sex,” directed by Gregg Araki. Her involvement in a wide range of projects showcases her versatility as an artist.
