Hollywood actress-director Olivia Wilde recently expressed her gratitude towards actor Walton Goggins for saving her life during a movie shoot. The incident occurred on the set of the 2011 film ‘Cowboys and Aliens,’ where they both starred. Wilde, 42, recounted the harrowing experience on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, recalling how Goggins intervened to protect her when a horse accident put her in grave danger.
During a scene involving a horse jump over a large ditch, Wilde was thrown off the horse, hitting her head and back. She found herself in a perilous situation as the other horses couldn’t see her due to a dirt lip obstructing their view. Despite the imminent danger of being trampled, Wilde heard the approaching horses and thought she might not survive.
In a moment of heroism, Walton Goggins, known for his role in ‘Django Unchained,’ swiftly acted to shield Wilde from the stampeding horses. Goggins maneuvered his horse in front of her, diverting the herd’s path and ensuring her safety. Wilde credited Goggins as her real-life hero, acknowledging his quick thinking and bravery that saved her from a potentially fatal accident.
