One person died and 61 others were injured in a Ukrainian drone attack on Russia’s Moscow region, as confirmed by regional governor Andrei Vorobyov. Among the injured, 20 received outpatient treatment, while nine are in serious condition, and 31 are in moderate condition. The victims are being closely monitored and receiving necessary medical care for various injuries like shrapnel wounds, blast injuries, and burns.
The city of Elektrostal, located 60 kilometers east of Moscow, bore the brunt of the attack with 57 people injured, while four others were wounded in Noginsk. Earlier reports indicated that 24 individuals were injured when a drone crashed into a warehouse in Elektrostal. Russian air defense systems intercepted 774 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones and 13 guided aerial bombs in the past 24 hours, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The ministry disclosed that Russian forces conducted targeted strikes using precision-guided weapons and attack drones on Ukrainian military-related sites. The attacks focused on port infrastructure in Odesa for unloading fuel and lubricants, as well as fuel storage facilities supporting the Ukrainian armed forces. Additionally, a container ship unloading ammunition in the Port of Chornomorsk and a dry cargo vessel near Snake Island were also hit.
