Former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi’s move to vacate the government residence at 10 Circular Road has sparked accusations of personal vendetta from the opposition. Purnia MP Pappu Yadav criticized the action, citing personal animosity in politics and emphasizing the significance of the house due to security reasons.
Congress spokesperson Surendra Rajput also condemned the government, labeling the move as vendetta politics and an attempt to harass the RJD leadership. In response, JD(U) National Spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan Prasad refuted the allegations, stating that there was no discrimination involved and highlighting the family’s wealth and multiple properties as reasons for vacating the official residence.
The process of vacating the 10 Circular Road residence has been ongoing, with plants and household items being gradually shifted to a speculated new residence. The Bihar government had issued a notice to Rabri Devi to vacate the bungalow, subsequently allotting a new government residence to her on Harding Road, Patna.
