Leader of the Opposition and CPI (M) Tripura state Secretary Jitendra Chaudhury criticized Chief Minister Manik Saha for allegedly spreading false information to divert attention from internal issues within the ruling alliance. Chaudhury accused Saha of misusing his position and behaving like a BJP spokesperson rather than focusing on governance.
Chaudhury further claimed that Saha consistently blamed the CPI (M) for various problems in the state, including violence and discord within the ruling alliance. The Opposition leader rejected allegations of attempting to seize power through illegitimate means, emphasizing the need for transparent governance.
The CPI (M) leader also highlighted alleged pre-existing ties between the BJP and its junior ally TMP before formally joining forces in 2024. He pointed out instances of internal conflicts and violence within the ruling alliance since their collaboration, challenging Saha’s accusations against the Left party.
Accusing the Chief Minister of tarnishing the CPI (M)’s image for political gain, Chaudhury warned against the erosion of public trust in democratic institutions due to partisan attacks. He urged Saha to refrain from spreading misinformation and to prioritize representing the entire state over political interests.
