During a debate in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, Leader of the Opposition, Tika Ram Jully, strongly criticized the Bhajan Lal Sharma government, accusing it of poor governance hidden behind statistical manipulation. Jully emphasized that the government had fulfilled only 27% of the 2,717 promises made in the last two state budgets.

He further highlighted the government’s failure to fulfill commitments, pointing out that only a small percentage of last year’s announcements had been implemented on the ground. Jully questioned the government’s procurement practices for crops like millet, accusing them of mismanagement in moong and groundnut procurement in certain divisions.

Referring to various sectors, Jully criticized the cancellation of a tender for providing scooties to meritorious girl students and the inadequate disbursement of funds under the Uniform Scheme. He also raised concerns about the lack of new recruitment processes initiated during the government’s tenure.

Jully alleged irregularities in a significant solar tender and criticized the government’s investment claims under the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ initiative. He also questioned the discontinuation of the Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship Scheme and reduction in available seats.

In a final jab, Jully mocked the Chief Minister’s convoy practices, highlighting the disparity between symbolic gestures and the daily struggles of ordinary citizens.
